Ok, So I decided that today was going to be a “treat” day. It had been a long while since I’d allowed myself to have a second (small!) serving of dinner (my AWESOME chili) and some dessert (ice cream.) Yeah, I still counted all the calories…..and Yeah, I went WAAAAAY over. You know what? That’s OK!!
Treat days are ok as long as you control yourself. Just make it ONE treat. My treat was a little extra dinner and some dessert. Yeah, I’m feeling a little “large” right now but that’s ok. I didn’t over-do it and I know that I’m already back to my regular eating-clean diet in normal serving sizes.
It makes it really hard to stay on track if you NEVER allow yourself some of the things you love. My downfalls are chocolate and ice cream. Sometimes even eating them together! I try not to have them in the house but with two young children that’s kind of hard to do all the time. When we completely deny ourselves the things we love that’s usually when we lose control and go completely overboard. Moderation is Key!
Now, I think it’s time for an extra walk around the block to work off some of these extra calories!
