Time

Time. We never seem to have enough of it. We all get the same 24 hours. Some people waste a lot of time wishing they had more time. Some people look back and think of all the things they could have done with the time they had. I’m quickly learning, as my kids get older, that time passes all too quickly. However, for some reason, time seems to slow down when you’re running on a treadmill.

All kidding aside, don’t put off ’til tomorrow what you can do today. For example, getting control of your health and fitness! There’s no better time for that than the present! Take the time to buy healthy foods, take the time to prepare healthy dinners at home with your family, take time to exercise, and take time to visit your doctors! Part of getting and staying healthy is regular checkups for eye, dentist and doctor!

I hear it all the time. I’m too busy to workout. I just don’t have the time. You know what? If it’s truly important to you, you will make the time! It’s TIME to make you a priority! Your workout can just be a 30 minute walk on the treadmill, or 30 minutes on the elliptical, or a T25 workout video. Just DO SOMETHING! The time to take control of your fitness is now. Don’t worry, you won’t be going it alone. I’ll be here to support you every step of the way!

Also, take time the night before to prepare healthy meals and snacks for the next day. We grab the pretzels and chips because they’re convenient. If you pre-chop veggies and put nuts in pre-measured serving sizes beforehand then those are also convenient! And much better for you! An apple, or a banana, already packaged in “to go” packaging.

Over time these conscious choices will become habit, then you won’t even need to think about it. For me exercise and eating healthy is a habit I’m so glad I picked up. I now find that I don’t crave the chips or pretzels. (I still crave chocolate, sometimes….hey, I’m only human.)

To summarize-Stop wishing your time away! Don’t wish to be fit or healthy. Make it happen! It’s your time, use it wisely.
